DataBento

Already streaming from DataBento? Add your API key to Lavender Terminal and your option chain and ticker header fill with live DataBento quotes, right alongside Lavender's independently computed Greeks.

What you get

DataBento streams live top-of-book quotes for options and equities. Connected to Lavender, it drives:

  • Options — live bid and ask with sizes across the chain
  • Stocks — live bid and ask with sizes in the ticker header

The Greeks and implied volatility you see in the Montage are always computed by Lavender's own engine, independent of the data feed. DataBento supplies the live quotes; Lavender supplies the analytics.

Connect it

  1. In Settings → Data Feed, select DataBento and enter your API key.
  2. Restart for the change to take effect.

Streaming requires that your own DataBento account hold live-data entitlements for the relevant datasets (consolidated US equities and OPRA options).

Your key stays local

Your DataBento key is stored on your machine and is used only to stream data directly from DataBento on your behalf — it is never sent to Lavender.

How data arrives

DataBento streams quotes in real time. Lavender subscribes to the symbols you're viewing and updates the chain and ticker as ticks arrive.

Data types

Choose which DataBento data Terminal subscribes to: options and stocks. Tick a type to enable it; at least one type stays selected.
